Haiku 21 – Tu Me Manques

It’s been a while since
I’ve had lips pressed against mine
And arms wrapped ’round me.

Soon He Will Forget…

Soon he will forget you.
He will forget the way you laughed,
And how the corners of your lips felt against his fingertips.
He will forget your clever tongue and all the ways you used it
He will forget the way you kissed the apples of his cheeks and how it would shape his mouth in a bashful smile.
He will forget the feel of you beneath his hands and the smell of your skin.
He will forget your favourite colour and your favourite band.
He will forget how your hand felt in his.
He will forget the whispered words between you.
He will forget your unconditional love and replace it with another’s.
Soon enough you would cease to even be a memory.
And you wouldn’t even know.
